The top of Carmel has withered and therefore the pastures have begun to weep. Look, nowhere is there any more blessing. Only skin and bone, oh, where will the flock go to survive? The sun will light the fire. So that the great drought can come and avenge her.
Judgement has broken-in the wild, fierce horse. Its fiery rider comes to make the peoples and nations pray and beg. In one place God will indeed cause it to rain. But in another region no moisture or blessing will fall. The locust will devour and consume the last greenery. But still, no one will reflect or repent.
Oh Amos-Amos, look the top of Carmel lies withered with the earth’s crust beneath dead and brittle. Pale grey the famine spreads her deathly shroud over the world. There is no fruit in the orchard, and no bunch of grapes hangs in the vineyard. The deadly plague breaks loose on top of that. Look, it comes as a terrifying colossus.
With no guard or watch at the doorpost, globally the soldiers begin to desert the front lines. But look, the drones are unleashed on them mercilessly and deadly. In South Africa the Boer cries, chaos, oh chaos, at last you have come to save us.
And finally freed from its terrible yoke, the once oppressed, servile ox finally runs free and loose. Globally the earth begins to tremble and shake, with its plates loose and brittle. So know, oh world, this is a lesson that will cost you very dearly.
