I would like to share the following conversation where someone tried hard to convince me that we may only address God’s Son as Jesus, and with no other name and my answer was the following:

Since a young age I was educated and taught according to the Afrikaans translation of the Bible and I was taught that His Name is Jesus and when I was still a child I indeed really tried, however difficult it sometimes was, to do like I was taught as a child.

But when I became more matured I had an urgent need to investigate the various translations and scriptures by myself with the help of the Spirit. So I found a mass of historic information which included the story of creation as well as the Law and Prophets and the New Testament and my conclusion was that most of this, although often distorted, was good – but the continual message of the Godly- as well as neighborly -love is breathtaking.

Yes, I have found that in the message of Love, there is a phenomenal Gift of God to man and it is the free will. So, in my further search I have learned that the name Jesus was the Greek version of His Name and that YaHWeshua comes from a more Hebrew background and suddenly I had a choice. The Name YaHWeshua was like a soft melody, yes a wondrous symphony to my ears, which could move the love-strings of my heart like nothing else could.

So, stop differing from me and fighting with me, because my God-given free will allows me to call Him according to my love and therefore you can also make use of the same wonderful privilege and call Him according to your choice and love on the Name you prefer, yes so that we can call out together in peace and harmony: GOD WITH US.
